Celebrating World Environment Day

Siza Water celebrates World Environment Day which is the largest celebrated day for positive environmental action, engaging millions across the globe through events on the ground in over seventy countries. Every year, participants both young and old, organise clean-up campaigns, art exhibits, tree-planting drives, concerts, dance recitals, recycling drives, social media campaigns and various themed events which take place to highlight the need to take care of our planet.

To highlight initiatives to reduce and conserve resources, the stream near the Shakaskraal Treatment Works was cleaned by Siza Water staff in partnership with the Dolphin Coast Conservancy which is a non-profit organisation. Once the clean-up was completed, the stream started flowing again much to the delight of the hard-working staff and helpers.
